About
Weight of Chains is a mod-lite Conan Exiles roleplaying server built around immersive stories, meaningful conflict, and the brutal spirit of the Hyborian Age. PvP is always enabled, but violence is governed by roleplay with no kill-on-sight. A carefully chosen selection of mods enhances the vanilla experience without burying it under a plethora of custom content.
Our Approach
We are a roleplay-first server where everything begins with character. We love our lore and are dedicated to keeping to the spirit of R. E. Howard's original works. Hopes, ambitions, loyalties, flaws, likes, and dislikes all matter, shaping personalities worthy of the Hyborian Age.
Whether your character is noble, cruel, or entirely indifferent, we encourage full commitment to the role and immersion in the world, its conflicts, and its machinations.
Server Features
Seasonal Stories with Real Consequences
Take part in evolving seasonal storylines shaped by player decisions. Dedicated roleplaying admins guide the wider narrative forward, but its outcomes remain firmly in the hands of the players.
Interactive Land Claims
Claim land through an interactive map and an in-depth bidding system managed by our custom Discord bot. Land ownership is designed to encourage settlement, politics, trade, and conflict through roleplay.
Unique Vendors and World Events
Custom vendors and admin-run world events make event-exclusive recipes and items readily available without undermining the value of exploration or participation.
Roleplay-Driven Currency
A special currency supports the server’s roleplay economy. It is earned through player-led and admin-run events, and can be spent on land claims, rare goods, and other special rewards.
Expanded In-Game Chat
Pippi provides a fully featured chat system, bringing many of the tools and conveniences expected from a traditional MMORPG chat experience into Conan Exiles.
Fair and Rewarding Thievery
Our custom thievery system creates meaningful opportunities for career criminals while ensuring victims have ways to investigate, respond, and pursue consequences through roleplay.
Custom Discord Integration
Our bespoke Discord bot communicates directly with the game server, providing a range of tools for players and administrators. It supports systems such as land claims, server management, and other features designed to keep the community running smoothly.
Ravencrest Couriers and Writing
Ravencrest allows players to send and receive messages, letters, and parcels through in-world mailboxes. It also greatly expands the usefulness of notes, books, and scrolls, making written roleplay far more flexible. The mod additionally introduces trainable birds and courier creatures that can be placed throughout the world, because apparently ordinary post was not dramatic enough.
